ORIGIN
Habtamu Fikadu Aga is the founder of Kuri Mountain Coffee, a company he established in 2015 as a continuation of a family coffee-growing tradition dating back to 1945. Today, the company works with 144 producers and owns or manages farms and washing stations across several regions of Ethiopia.
The coffee is processed with great care: after depulping, the beans undergo 48 to 72 hours of fermentation before being washed and slowly dried on raised beds. The company holds both organic and Fair for Life certifications, and reinvests part of its revenue into producing communities through initiatives supporting education, infrastructure and healthcare. Kuri Mountain Coffee has been exporting its coffee directly since 2017.
BREWING
A coffee that will surprise curious drinkers with its remarkable potential in milk-based beverages. The stone fruit takes on a tropical character, at times even reminiscent of pineapple, while the candied lemon brings a deeply sweet and tangy accent. On its own, the espresso remains balanced, with a thick, silky texture that gently carries its fruity and floral aromatics. As a filter coffee, it will be a favourite among adventurous coffee lovers. Its depth and aromatic complexity gradually unfold as the cup cools: every note finds its place, and each recipe reveals a different facet of the coffee.
