How to cold brew with an Aeropress (in 2 minutes!)

L'Aeropress is a must to have when camping. In the morning, we make hot coffee with the water from the kettle. In the afternoon, on a hike, we extract a cold coffee in two minutes with the water from our bottle. So practical that at home it became a mid-day ritual.

And when you do it with a coffee from the Récolte series with a natural process, it's a dream.

Here's the recipe:

Add 1 rounded scoop of fine drip grind coffee
Add tap water up to the number 1
Stir for 60 seconds (this is important.)
Press gently
Add tap, cold water, ice or milk to make an 8 oz. (237 ml) mug of cold brew.

The thing here is the length of time you gently mix the coffee and the very fine grind. The contact between the surface of the ground coffee and the water is optimized and the delicious flavors can be quickly extracted. It is usually difficult to extract flavors with room temperature water, but the full minute you stir makes all the difference.
